Bone Density Scans

Saddleback Medical Group offers an aggressive approach to address the needs of Osteoporosis, or bone loss.  We have a strategically designed Bone Density center for both men and women, and in many cases same day appointments are available.  

Our Hologic Dual Energy X-ray Absorption Scanner consists of four scans:  the lumbar spine, hip, and two vertebral assessments.  The scan takes approximately 15 minutes while lying comfortable on a soft bed.  Patient health and safety are our top priorities.  Your bone scan will be painless and non-invasive.

Our medical professionals are friendly and knowledgeable and will help educate you in the prevention and management of Osteoporosis.

The Saddleback Medical Group laboratory is staffed with highly skilled and competent personnel offering professional and nearly painless services.  The lab performs most testing in-house and is licensed by CLIA and the State of California as a high-complexity laboratory.  All our personnel are state licensed and maintain educataional requirements in order to continue to provide cutting edge technology conveniently at your doctors' office.

Vascular Studies 

• Carotid Ultrasound: Stroke imaging screening of the carotid arteries located in the front of the neck  
• Stress Echocardiogram: Test for heart artery blockage & function during exercise
   
• Vascular Ultrasounds: Provide images of veins and arteries to help assess blood flow
   
• Doppler Studies (legs): Medical imaging to assess blood flow and blood pressure in the legs. Doppler ultrasound used to detect blood clots, evaluate blood vessel integrity, and conditions, such as peripheral artery disease in the legs.
